Author Submission Terms

Purpose of These Terms

These Author Submission Terms (“Submission Terms”) govern the submission of content by authors (“Author,” “you,” or “your”) to Authors Connect Community International (“ACCI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for consideration in author showcases, community features, events, publications, or related initiatives.

By submitting content to ACCI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Submission Terms.

Eligibility

By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age

  • You are the original creator or lawful rights holder of the submitted material

  • You have full authority to submit the content and grant the permissions described herein

Types of Submissions

Authors may submit materials including, but not limited to:

  • Author biographies

  • Book titles, descriptions, and cover images

  • Excerpts, poems, essays, or short written works

  • Statements of purpose or author intent

  • Images or media related to the author’s work

Submission does not guarantee publication, showcasing, selection, or recognition.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

Author Rights

Authors retain full ownership and copyright of all original works submitted to ACCI.

Nothing in these Submission Terms transfers ownership of your intellectual property to ACCI.

License Granted to ACCI

By submitting content, you grant ACCI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable license to:

  • Display, publish, and feature submitted materials on ACCI platforms

  • Use submitted content for promotional, educational, and community-related purposes

  • Reference submitted materials in connection with ACCI initiatives, events, or communications

This license is granted solely to support the mission of Authors Connect Community International.

Editorial Review and Discretion

All submissions are subject to editorial review.

ACCI reserves the right to:

  • Accept or decline submissions at its discretion

  • Request edits, clarifications, or additional information

  • Determine placement, format, and duration of displayed content

  • Remove content that no longer aligns with ACCI’s mission, values, or standards

Decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

Content Standards

Submitted content must:

  • Be original and accurate to the best of the author’s knowledge

  • Not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights

  • Not contain defamatory, abusive, misleading, or unlawful material

  • Respect ethical, cultural, and professional standards

ACCI reserves the right to remove content that violates these standards.

No Publishing or Commercial Guarantee

Authors Connect Community International is not a publisher, literary agent, or distributor.

Submission and participation:

  • Do not guarantee publication, book sales, representation, or financial gain

  • Do not create a contractual or employment relationship

Do not imply endorsement beyond the scope of the feature or showcase

Awards, Recognition, and Events

Participation in submission-based initiatives, including future awards or events:

  • Does not guarantee selection or recognition

  • It is subject to separate eligibility criteria and guidelines

  • May involve additional terms disclosed at the time of participation

Withdrawal of Submission

Authors may request removal of their submitted content by contacting ACCI in writing.

Reasonable efforts will be made to remove content within a practical timeframe, except where continued display is required for archival, legal, or operational reasons.

Limitation of Liability

ACCI is not responsible for:

  • Unauthorized use of publicly displayed content by third parties

  • Errors or omissions in submitted materials

  • Outcomes related to exposure or participation

Authors submit content at their own discretion and risk.

Modifications to These Terms

ACCI reserves the right to update these Submission Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting.

Continued submission or participation constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
